Revitalizing Chair Massage

 At acufit at work, we have developed a treatment protocol that will only take about 15 minutes out of an employees’ busy schedule. It simply involves having that stressed-out individual sit comfortably on a massage chair.

We will then apply various healing techniques designed for each individual’s needs, ranging from massage to ear acupuncture. After the treatment, clients report a sense of revitalization, decreased physical discomforts and more focused attention.

Munch, Learn, and Earn™

Munch, Learn, and Earn™ is a program consisting of thirty-minute lunchtime presentations on different topics, given by various licensed professional health care experts. Covering one topic per week, MLE™ gives employees the education and knowledge to empower them to make educated decisions about their health.

Munch, Learn, and Earn™ presentations are purposely given weekly during the work-day lunchtime so employees can walk away with working knowledge on multiple health topics in a relaxed atmosphere in just a total of two hours, spread over the course of a single month.

As added motivation to attend all Munch, Learn, and Earn™ presentations, employees can have an added bonus of accruing Wellness Points, which can be used towards earning extra cash and prizes.

Workspace Ergonomics

Ergonomics is the science of fitting the job to the worker. Pains in the shoulder, back, neck, wrists, legs, and feet are caused by improper ergonomics.

At Champion International Corporation, they provided ergonomic assessments and assistance and then followed up by educating employees on lifestyle issues and handling materials. This innovative program paid off.

Cornell University has released much-needed ergonomic guidelines for computer users, designed to make your workstation a more comfortable, efficient, and user-friendly place to be. And with the longer and longer hours that many Americans are now spending in front of their computer screens at work and at home, they couldn’t have come at a better time.

Our workspace ergonomics staff members are a physical therapist and ergonomist and an Alexander Technique teacher who will conduct one MLE per month and will evaluate employees one-on-one to try to suggest ways to maximize efficiency and comfort and minimize injuries.

Feng  Shui Office Space Renewal

Feng  Shui is the ancient Chinese art and science of creating harmonious environments. It is an expression of oneness and interconnectedness of all things on all levels. Health Awareness 101™

Health Awareness 101™ monthly seminars take place once a month either on weekends or during the weekday after work. Ninety-minute presentations are given for employees of all participating companies.

Usually, Health Awareness 101™ monthly seminars are given to high-risk employees like those who are trying to quit smoking, or those who are obese who need to lose weight.

Stress prevention and stress management seminars will also be given for those who would like additional stress management techniques beyond those given in Munch Learn and Earn™ lunchtime presentations and newsletters.


CPR For Life is a certification course which targets employees and other laypersons who want to learn rescue skills. The course duration is 2 to 2.5 hours. We teach skills in CPR and relief of foreign-body airway obstruction (FBAO).

We present information about the AHA adult Chain of Survival and signs of a heart attack, cardiac arrest, stroke, and choking in adults. The text includes information about “healthy heart living” and actions that reduce risk of cardiovascular disease in adults.  Our CPR instructors are certified.

Telephonic counseling is done via email and telephone. Emails are sent out once per week. Employees must read them and answer three short questions to receive wellness points.

Mind & Body Programs

Our health and fitness classes last 30 to 45 minutes and are given three times per week during mornings, lunchtime, and after work. Our classes consist of breathing, meditation, yoga, and pilates, and end with progressive relaxation and visualization.

A population study in Finland found that individuals who exercised at least 2 to 3 times per week are more active, more self-confident, less irritable, more co-operative with others, and enjoy a greater sense of accomplishment.

Research has shown that meditation practice on a regular basis leads to improvements in employee job satisfaction, productivity, and better work relationships. And lastly, meditation training can increase employee and managerial productivity and organizational effectiveness.

All classes are taught by experienced, certified instructors.
